They claim consensual sex. With someone they had just arrested and placed in handcuffs. They lie b/c they know system will protect them.

To them she consented by being "criminal." Consented by being vulnerable to their abuse. Consented by being in public. Consented by existing

The definition of consent does NOT include being in police custody. They had better be tried and convicted of rape and abuse of power.
-
Sad thing is.. they probably won't be convicted of anything.. they'll get a pop on the wrist and sent right back to work

If she's white they'll go to jail. A minority, no way. Our justice system

I honestly doubt they'll go to jail, even if she IS white. 96% of rapists are never jailed. I've lost *3* jobs to sexual harassment.
-
I feel for you, I've lost 2 myself. Sad that I'm sure there are millions of women who have the same experience.

Stopped going to my gym recently, too, after reporting an employee & never hearing back. Thank God my fiancé loves me as-is.

Since when do they publish the victim's picture and not the perpetrators'?
-
Since the perpetrators are cops. And they shouldn't even be on desk duty. If they're accused of a crime, they should be suspended w/o pay!

"Consent" doesn't mean anything in the context of that power structure. What would've happened to her if she said 'no'?
-
That's a very good question.

There’s no such thing as consensual sex when one is wearing a badge and gun

That photo seems like an odd choice.

Just having a photo seems odd, but yeah, that struck me as well.

The rape allegation is obviously paramount but how are they not fired 4 admitting to sex while on the job? Isn’t that cause for termination?
-
Due process. They haven’t been interviewed by IA yet. It’s hearsay right now. If they did have sex on the clock they should be fired.
-
Thanks, figured a public admission would speed that process but did see IA was waiting on criminal investigation (not sure why wait?)
-
Who made a public admission?
-
“Martins and Hall told colleagues that the sex was consensual, according to the...police source.” So not public admission but 2 other cops
