This is actually unfortunately not the first time I've heard of a deaf person being harmed by police for not being able to hear orders.

not just frequently. up to 50% of those murdered by the police are disabled. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/amp/half-people-killed-police-suffer-mental-disability-report-n538371 …

unfortunately, much of the resistance does not include disability and disabled civil rights in their "intersectional" politics

Why were they called in the first place? I'm very confused how an unarmed man, sitting on his own porch, became a threat in the first place
-
A supposed hit-and-run was being investigated in the area, the car involved supposedly parked at his house
-
With the driver still inside of the truck. I found the info. A second cop showed up and shot him within a minute of arriving.

He had no gun. He had no knife. He committed no violent crime. He was on his front porch. Police shot him. He wasn't white!

And Aiyana Stanley-Jones was shot in her bed while she was sleeping. These pigs have no conscience.
