The owner of the Eagles said he wouldn't hire Colin because of his anthem protest, but hired a white player who called black people "nigger"

I was at the Lurie press conference, and have read that story, and this tweet is insanely unfair and wrong
-
Lurie supports Malcom Jenkins and gave a very thoughtful, and imo, respectful answer to the Kaep Q's & u r basically implying he is racist
-
Get'em Eliot
-
Get'em King. You can debate the way he said it until you are blue in the face but everything in that tweet is factual with evidence.
-
Hey remember when the eagles hired an African American felon fresh out of prison thus giving him a second chance? Despite the backlash?
-
Vick was still considered a premier athlete and you're right, they hired a felon who fought dogs but won't hire a guy who is against racism
-
An athlete who had been out of football for 2 years

Hey you are really unfairly reading this if you think Lurie said anything bad about Kaep. Most of this is Hayes making his own assumptions
-
Lurie signed Vick and supports Jenkins. There is plenty of evidence that kaep is being blackballed, but this doesn't fit

You're wrong on this one, that's Marcus Hayes writing. You can watch the Lurie press conference online
-
I will agree Lurie painted Kap as someone who knelt and nothing else. Kap has done plenty behind the scenes.
-
He didn't paint kap as anything he stated that IF someone did protest with no action he wouldn't respect it
-
And that's not the situation with Kap so why bring it up! Who was he referring to?
-
He specifically said he wasn't talking about kap at the beginning of the question
-
I'll need to see it again. I watched it. Maybe I missed it.

Marcus Hayes may be the least respected "journalist" in Philadelphia, but ya know don't let the facts get in the way of a hot take

Using a Marcus Hayes article weakens your stance it does not strengthen it.

Still not seeing where he said he outright wouldn't hire him. The article cited even praised his support for Jenkins, Rhodes, McNabb, etc
