Only LA & Bay Area would go blue. OC, San Diego, Desert Communities, less populated rural Central Valley all go red so no. Stick to NY.

Most of CA is red. The Bay would be repped by Valley, who are socially-centrist libertarians. State has no water. US can tax agri imports

Didn't the founding fathers specifically limit the number of senators to keep big states from overshadowing the interests of smaller states?

The electoral college should be abolished but it won't be. This breaks up a big blue advantage and siphons some off to republicans
