A very real scenario exists in which Trump loses by 5-10 million votes, loses a few states he won last time, and STILL wins the election.
-

If California & New York turnout HUGE #'s for Dems in 2020 a Republican could win the election but lose by somewhere near 10 million votes.

The house is supposed to be representative based on population, the senate not. This was to give small states a place w/equal representation
-

-
Thanks. I'm getting better at shortening ideas, still a work in progress...

As any fourth grader should know, the House is apportioned by population and the Senate by state. It balances out, protecting small states.

That's not going to change...it was designed that way intentionally. A better argument would be increasing the number of House seats.
-
Back when the disparity in populations was like 5:1 now it’s 50:1
-
The size of the House, but not for the Senate. One of these will be easier to achieve politically. It'll still be difficult mind.
-
I checked, big state/ little state was 12:1 back in 1800s. I agree that’s a big push to change. I’d say change/eliminate electoral college
-
Unless there's an incredible realignment of American politics, and who knows that could happen.
-
I know. It ain’t happening anytime soon. If anything, things are entrenching MORE.
