#Netherlands, we've had to close jails because of lack of occupants. And oh yeah, weed and prostitution are decriminalized. -
They'd never close jails here. Privatisation has made it very lucrative to keep prisons filled. Private prison lobbyists lining pockets.

A few years ago, nypd had a slow down. Crime dropped 63%. Go figure!! Guess crime had a slow down too

Fewer cops, and fewer police departments. Counties have sheriff's depts & don't also need dozens of PDs with no oversight.
