Every time I think of him and his family, I just feel ill. Makes no sense this kid is gone.

This was the first case I ever signed a petition for. Broke my heart to get updates from the family that the system kept shutting them down.

Until everyone can look at him and say "he could be my child," we are not a "post-racial" society.

Still hurts as much today. I have a 15 yr old who will never have to worry about the police & it saddens me tamir's life was not as valued
