Of course this has nothing to do with safety. It's pseudo security. We are not more secure now then we were yesterday. It's like locking

your doors at night. It makes people feel better. If they feel better it doesn't make who gets hurt in the process.

I just feel it's hypocritical. Folks who go up the ladder want to pull it up so no one else can use it. But, hey, that's just me ;)
