So, when America's white evangelicals see a white man as President seemingly standing up for whiteness, what they see is their Christianity.

Tens of millions of white American evangelicals genuinely look at Trump and think to themselves "thank God we have a Christian President"

I am one White American Evangelical who looks at Trump and sees a despicable puppet of Putin.

I see a hollow man who is a danger the the United States and to the world.

I see a man bereft of conscience and care for anyone other than himself.

I see someone who regularly lies, cheats, and steals to preserve himself and whatever it is that he wants.

I see a reckless, low-class, low-skilled leader who wreaks havoc among those he purports to lead.

I see a nation, among which are many who have no idea the damage that can be done by giving power to someone with minimal good character.

I see a man who chose his defenses over instrospection when survival knocked on his door.

Because for the majority of white American evangelicals, being a Christian does not mean living like Jesus, but means protecting white power

Trump's so-called Christian base has corrupted Christianity, surely as ISIS corrupted Muslim Faith.

White evangelical republican here, and I agree with them 100%. I see it in the church all the time.
