This officer said he had no choice but to shoot a teenager. He lied.
In 2016, 17 year old Antwon Gallmon was shot at 7 times by Officer Robert Cooper in South Carolina - who was called to the scene for a noise violation. He said this shooting was unavoidable.

Worth noting that the one of first things he says over the radio is he tried running him over- clearly a lie.

He didn't try to run him over...but you have to comply when the cops tell you to stop. It's sad that it happened.

Don't call police for minor things, they could end up killing someone over a minor annoyance.

Years ago I was driving down the street, traffic stopped & a young fella laying in road tangled up in his bike obviously drunk & agitated

I told him let me help you cos these people are either going to run over you or call the cops, at 1st he argued but agreed to let me help

So he said he was trying to get home to momma a couple blocks away, he let me load his bike up & drive him home where momma thanked me

I'm an old white woman, this kid was maybe 16yo black kid, even I know calling the police on him would have just turned out bad for him

He was no threat but he was a drunk kid who was not making a rational decision & I thought what if this was my grandson

I had always been raised under the naieve idea that cops were taught to shoot only as a last resort and if there is imediate danger.
