it. A lot. Then I said, "Dude, I just explained a single payer system" He was a little taken aback, and could not refute it.

single payer would be better. Nationalizing the healthcare system would probably be best.
-
I'd bet he's using the term Bernie introduced which is "single payer Medicare for all" a little odd, but catchy
-
I'm sure, but go to the nurses page for a description. It's not the same thing. So be distinct.
-
while Medicare for all would be better, it's not as good as single payer.

Single payer works. Canada (both govt and individuals) pay less money per capita for greater care that doesn't bankrupt the ill.

As long as you re-work Medicare Part D to allow the gov’t to negotiate lower drug prices. What a huge money waster as it is now!

plus socialism is never good, it's always bad - expansion of gov't power should never be labeled "smart" ya dummy
-
I forgot everything about the world is 100% black and white and there's no middle ground ever
-
well when you study history you realize that socialism always ends up bad, and communism kills millions
-
any system in the wrong hands is dangerous. Providing healthcare to all seems less dangerous than military/industrial.

Better if
#SinglePayer w/o insurance companies supplementing to 100% coverage in current Medicare system because many still can't afford

Actually, the data indicates that we would pay less and get better outcomes if we switched to singlepayer:http://www.commonwealthfund.org/publications/issue-briefs/2015/oct/us-health-care-from-a-global-perspective …
