You can find the basic same trend of whichever party is in power has higher favs going back decades. People like a winner.

The fact that Ds have low favs is irrelevant. Rs had record low favs last year and still won. No political party is popular.

What IS important is who is in power and what they're doing and whether it's good and whether people like it.

Trump's individual policies are extremely unpopular. A majority of the public disagrees with him on almost everything.
