The death penalty is racist, cruel, & unfair. Thankfully, Oregon just passed smart reforms to limit its death penalty. The crazy thing now is that @OregonGovBrown @SenProzanski & @Jennifer_for_OR are caving to pressure from prosecutors who want to walk back some of that progress.

I've never heard an argument in favor of the death penalty that isn't immoral, illogical, vengeful, or inhumane. It saddens me that the death penalty still has so much popularity.
In japan (5th safest country in the world) they use hanging for capital punishment.
If they like their jobs, that will never happen. If it does, their last terms.
it creates more victims. The families, the prison officer, the people taking another person's life- not to mention the innocent lives that now have no shot at justice. honestly, seems that blind vengeance is in style in America.
