I don't wonder anymore. I just kinda keep hoping Texas makes good on its secession threats, splinters off, and immolates spectacularly.

I think it would continue to splinter, like a glaze shivering off a misfit mug. Eventually every ranch would be its own kingdom, at war with every other ranch.

And every ranch would have its very own well organized militia armed to the teeth with assault rifles to defend against the British occupation- the only right that seems to be recognized. I'm sure they would still find a way to continue leeching off the rest of the States, tho.
