It would be great if political candidates didn’t go to ANY religious gatherings. Keep church and state separated.
Every presidential candidate was invited to the largest annual gathering of Muslims in the United States.
Only two agreed.

I dont think it's a religious gathering as much as it is a gathering to discuss issues facing the muslim community, which has been a lot. Same way going to a church isn't religious it's a place to gather and discuss. Every demographic counts.

As an African American male, I have little sympathy for their community when my own community is ignored by the Democratic party. What do I do? Vote Democrat because the other choice is far too horrifying.

We can support BOTH the Black community & the Muslim community. Justice for ALL, ALL MEANS EVERYONE. Humans are capable of doing multiple things at the same time.

I doubt this is an issue about not having the time. It’s about priorities. I’m not Muslim, but this is disheartening. If they cared more, they would have gone.
