Many older Democrats don't have values. They have fear. They'll do only enough to stay in power. Here in AZ, we have a real chance to take power. The old guard Democrats will do everything to prevent that. So, we get Sinema and soon Mark Kelly. We should do much better.

Oh come ON! That's a very loose and self serving view of what is happening here. As an Oregonian I applaud her allowing the Senate to clarify the law they passed and not taking it upon herself to translate it. The only capital offense in this state is aggravated murder.

No need for a special session, courts can clarify the handful of remanded cases.

The victims' families are more upset than anyone. The legislators who crafted this bill lied - they assured families this wouldn't be retroactive. But they absolutely knew that it would be. How is outright lying to families of murder victims moral?

I think this might be the first time I've agreed with you about anything. If there is a non zero probability of putting an innocent person to death, it should not take place at all. I know this isn't a terribly popular opinion.
