This is a very big story. White NYPD cops, angry that they don't get to choke Black men to death and keep their jobs, have stopped arresting people this week. Arrests have plummeted drastically. What's hilarious is that they think that's punishment.https://nypost.com/2019/08/26/the-pantaleo-effect-nypd-arrests-plummet-in-wake-of-firing/ …

We will not stand down the over policing of America until demilitarizing police takes place. Police are public servants. Meaning, they serve, the public. We are not the enemy. Increase civil services. Address social cries for help with compassion not criminal charges.

Reparation to the people they’ve framed and maimed. And the families of those they murdered.

The Mayor
@BilldeBlasio should fire all officers that are involved, liked Reagan did the air traffic controllers, and hire news non union cops. This racist union leadership MUST GO. Democrats must show some tough love.@nytimes@cspanwj@AP@BBCNews@AJEnglish#TheResistance#p2Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Instead of locking people up we should prevent crimes from happening with robust social programs.

I don't think budgets should be cut and officers laid off. I think more thorough training is needed for our officers. Train them how do de-escalate properly, train them how to deal with mentally handicapped people. And force them to see a therapist to help deal with the stress.

Meanwhile, in "progressive" Seattle, almost $400 million earmarked for the nation's most expensive police station ($160 million, currently stalled due to protests) and a youth jail ($232 million, rebranded, moving forward)... http://www.zverina.com/2016/0815.htm https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2018/dec/27/supreme-court-rules-against-challenge-to-232m-yout/ …

Get smaller ? You must not live in NYC if you think there should be less police in a city with over 8 million people.
