10 states + DC have now legalized marijuana.
But here we are, with New York in a complete holding pattern.
It's an embarrassment.

@KevinThomasNY RAN on legalization. he campaigned on it - it's still on his 2018 campaign website - and as recently as January publicly talked about how much of a benefit ending prohibition in NY would have for the state. And yet... we only needed ONE MORE VOTE.
Do right by all New Yorkers! Extend the same rights to New Yorkers of color that white people already enjoy de facto. It's about principal and integrity and equality under the law. You have the power to make the system more just.
Senators and Gov Cuomo we need this session extended and we need to pass this bill as is. This can change the lives of NYers and we must do what is right.

I don't think we can have REAL Criminal Justice reform without decriminalizing marijuana. And those with non-violent marijuana crimes should be released from prison.
This would be one SMALL step in the right direction to make right our nations wrongs to people of color. Yes expunge their records. This should be an easy YES Vote from @DNC .
The funniest thing is that people can't see that it's being sold on the streets like candy, it may as well be sold in storefronts. The only difference is customers don't know exactly what they're getting and they don't pay tax. The drug dealers celebrate with them too. Deranged.
