Let me tell you the truth. If Trump even remotely bragged about white supremacist James Eastland the way Biden just fondly recalled him, he’d be rightly crucified in the media over it. I can hardly believe what Biden said tonight. Stunned. The man was a monster.

James Eastland, along with senators Robert Byrd and Strom Thurmond, made unsuccessful attempts to block the confirmation of Thurgood Marshall to the Federal Court of Appeals and the US Supreme Court. And Biden raved about him tonight? Unthinkable.

Realistically, Biden offers context. Offering a comparison without context is merely predatory. Biden's time is past. He brings nothing to the table other than name recognition. We need more. I have not settled in a favorite yet but Biden would only get the "well he's better than Trump" vote from me.
