5 different New York State legislators have told me that @NYGovCuomo will not sign a bill to legalize weed in the state because he does NOT want any of the tax revenue to go to the communities most harmed by the War on Drugs.
How fucking obtuse is that?

I'm a neighbor of another state closer to NY! I've seen the Democratic state elections for running governor where on its lowest turn-vote numbers! It has to be a LAW to cast a vote, instead learning the hardway

People need the power to take matters in their own hands. 26 states have direct democracy. In those 26 states the people can put a question on the ballot. This is how MA got weed legalized. NY doesn't allow for direct democracy. NY residents need to get direct democracy... 1/2
