Exactly. If there are good cops let them show themselves by coughing up all those bad apples.
Conservatives and their moderate allies continue to say that police in the United States only have a few bad apples. That's a lie. But let's assume the lie was true. They then protect and defend those few bad apples at every turn - denying even a semblance of justice.

Exactly! And I can't stand they just use half of a proverb. The phrase is, "A few bad apples spoils the bunch." Which is much closer to the truth.

The bad would be super easy to oust. All decent colleagues would report them and decent supervisors would fire them. But,all the "good guys" either keep their mouth shut or as in many proven cases,willingly lie and protect the bad ones. So,we need a comprehensive reform policy!!

Bad apples is the most idiotic argument to be made, but they love it. We need to pressure all candidates on all levels of governing to put out serious plans to reform policing in US. Just as detailed as Warren's child care or Bernie's Medicare for All.

I would agree that is a lie. They have almost no bad apples. Police are heroes doing the most difficult and necessary job in our society.

Thank God the airline's don't have that mentality...could you imagine...(airline spokesperson) most of are pilots prefer to land...we just have a few bad apples that like to crash the planes into mountains...give me a break...the police in every town, or city is a militia.

It breaks my heart b/c I know what you're saying is true. It hurts b/c I know the racism (overt or "accidental" for lack of a better word) is rampant. I also know that it's a scary, hard job and I want to believe that most of those who serve are good. But evidence says otherwise
