I am so amazing proud of the New York State legislature. I don’t know if any state legislature has gotten more done this year. Now let’s legalize marijuana and open up records of police misconduct.

I am still going with my core reforms: 1. End cash bail 2. Get rid of the ability to incarcerate for most misdemeanors 3. Get rid of the vast majority of sentences over 10 years 4. Treat incarcerated folk with dignity at all times & provide training & programming FIN

If you really run the numbers, this would more or less end mass incarceration and greatly increase the amount of money necessary to ensure better outcomes....if it were politically possible it would get the job done
