Um, literally heard the same thing from a white colleague at dinner tonight. It’s what they want.

See, this right here is my concern. Older white Dems particularly want this to be true and like to hear it from him, it is comforting. I fear his milquetoast middle ground statements make him a stronger candidate than any real progressives want to believe.
