This quote from @JoeBiden may be the most insightful thing I've ever heard from him on his politics. It's a prophecy for how he got so far - Style over Substance. He'd openly admit that he was a conservative, but knew that he had to sound a certain way.

I actually think that the fact that Biden is still in political life rather proves his point. Certainly part of the reason I vote for candidates is Bc I perceive them to be intelligent and thoughtful. (Not voting for Biden).
