home from work, kick off my shoes, turn on the news. I expect to hear more punditry regarding Dumpster and his posse. But instead it's a news conference about Virginia Beach. I see enough to get the gist and turned it off. I work in a city hall & court, one of four employees.

Already some really horrible comments in here. *sigh*

It saddens me to no end that a mass shooting such as this one barely raises a blip on our collective consciousness anymore.

But you live in the greatest country in the world.

Well, we export violence around the world so it makes sense that the same energy will rebound and slam into our population. This is why I consistently call out pathological politicians and policies who call for war and regime change as well as cops who abuse their power.
