That's how New York women know it's spring

Wife said that very thing to me

It's not worth stopping at each and every one to ask for some consideration. Best you can do is to ignore them and teach your sons, brothers and friends better I'm really sorry for your wife and daughter though. People are assholes.

maybe running in a bikini is not a good idea.....
-
The old falllback. It wasn't what he did, it was what she wore.
-
Not only that, but how does he even know what these girls were wearing? Its New York City (not exactly known for people running around in bikinis usually), for all he knows they could've been in cardigans or denim. I love how people just blanket assume & project total nonsense.
-
It is just assuming the victims must somehow be responsible.

Imagine if you were a woman
-
I think that’s what he’s alluding to but describing what his WIFE and DAUGHTERS are experiencing
-
It's a different set feelings as a woman, and a man has no equivalent experience.
-
the only equivalent experience for men is that first walk into a prison, where men are getting whistled at and are called "fresh meat." that is the only time men ever have to fear sexual assault.
-
Good example, agreed

In my experience what creeps men out the most is the fact that most of us have been getting catcalled since we were 10 or 11.

Had a friend that was married and had two daughters yet always catcalled women in public when they weren't around. I was ashamed to be associated with him.
-
Had a friend that did the same....then I mentioned that some girl that he was catcalling looked like his teenage daughter and he never talked to me since.

There should be a sign put up that says “NO CAT CALLING” you will be find $5,000 or 1 month in jail.
-
I actually agree to this like 100% lmaoo my wife is always cat called and it irks my nerves

-
No to jail. Would probably just be used against POC more than anyone else as usual. Businesses should be fined when their employees are found to be harassing women. They can control their employees. A few fines and I bet a lot of this would stop from worksites.
