I like you Sean and the work you are doing on social@justice, but unless you are equally as hard on @SenSanders for voting for it you are being a hypocrite and that’s not cool.

And therein lies the difference. Bernie admits his mistakes (and notes why he voted for it), whereas Joe--who literally helped write this bill--denies any wrongdoing.

Bernie voted for it Shaun. Here’s the part that gets me. Bernie voted for it bc there were too many good things in it to vote against the entire package. To me that’s even worse. He’s saying ok to have mass incarceration in exchange for something more important to him.

People like to pretend they didn't hear Bernie tell why he decided to vote for that bill.

This is some of the stinking awful about politics in America. Sometimes the fact that you wrote and passed a bill is treated is more important than the contents of that bill.

So @JoeBiden wrote bill, @BernieSanders voted for it, @HillaryClinton was First Lady at the time, had nothing to do with bill and now the blame is solely on @KamalaHarris @HillaryClinton and @JoeBiden am I right? Asking for a friend!

Accountability is not a factor for most politicians. We have to monitor all of them and not get caught up in partisan politics!
