      ANYONE who says as @JoeBiden said this week, that the 1994 Crime Bill did not expand mass incarceration, is either willfully ignorant or a deliberate liar. It DOUBLED the number of people in prison in 10 years and nearly TRIPLED it in 20. Every single expert will tell you this.

          Most members of the congressional black caucus back then voted for the crime bill....including Bobby Rush. Bernie Sanders voted for the 1994 crime bill, too. No ones hands are clean.

          I don't disagree. It sucks that line items can be added. Good politicians find themselves voting for shitty legislation in some cases because something in the bill will help x,y,z.
