A lot of lies, particularly from @JoeBiden, are being told about the 1994 Crime Bill. He was the primary author of it and advocate for it.
He said this week that it didn't impact mass incarceration.
Watch this scene from 13th where they make clear that it did exactly that.pic.twitter.com/Up4YaSyUp6

@JoeBiden says the 1994 Crime Bill had NOTHING to do w/ states. He's even having his surrogates go out and say the exact same lie. But I need you to hear 1995@JoeBiden. He literally WROTE THE LAWS making sure that states were required to be harsh in order to get funding.pic.twitter.com/eYYRpYgC4DJoe Biden Bragging That States Will Now All Have Mandatory MinimumsThis week Joe Biden said that his 1994 Crime Bill DID NOT IMPACT STATES. Agreed. We should not elect anyone who voted for it as President. Time for fresh and younger perspective.

But I’ll say this because people will freak out otherwise - in the primary! In the general, this does not matter at all compared to Trump.

Just a reminder that what
@JoeBiden voted for in 1994 wasn't a singular moment of bad it was part of a movement within neoliberalism that also produced the terrible Welfare "Reforms" of 1996 which gutted the safety net. Joe voted for them,@BernieSanders OF COURSE did not.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

People always compared Sanders to Trump which was absolutely bull. THE MORE apt comparison is Biden who lies, refuses to admit wrong doing and does so as a strategy based on the fact the media’s memory is so short that all will pass over. He has absolute contempt for voters.

Symone Sanders is no better than the other bought and paid for voices that flood the mainstream media trying to dupe black and brown folks into voting against their best interests.
