They make people still pay because they already know prisons have no rehabilitative effect and that not one prison should exist in the first place, and they displace the lie on those they think they can get away with blaming, but they can't.
I'm calling on @Portantino to vote yes on SB 144 tomorrow. This bill eliminates criminal justice administrative fees for poor Californians, mainly Black & Brown people, who right now literally must choose between paying rent & eating or paying these fees.https://buff.ly/2V4uFS9
