Running for POTUS raises your profile. Any funds raised can be transferred into senate runs. For most Americans, they need to see it on the Telly for it to be real. Also, the enemies of the US,both foreign &domestic, now have to attack 22 candidates-this will lessen the impacts.

Also, Abrams already won in GA. So did Beto & Nelson. They would win senate races too. The voting machines are likely to ensure a repeat of those“losses”. They need landslide wins. A national profile&

are needed to overcome @GOP suppression, gerrymandering, hacking& cheatingpic.twitter.com/vgoh9WV3ug

Same with Hickenlooper in Colorado, Castro in Texas, Abrams in Georgia. They would all make phenomenal Senate candidates and there are vulnerable Republican Senators up for re-election next year.

He was very impressive on Maddow tonight
-
Agree. I think him being relatively unknown while also being extremely successful as governor is a huge asset. I can see him winning swing states, taking Montana from trump, maintaining his progressive ideas while connecting with gop voters.
-
Also, for people to dismiss him and say he should run for senate, which he clearly stated he doesn't want to do, are risking the chance of beating trump. Bullock is a great candidate and I'm happy he's running.

Because the Democrats don’t want to win the Senate back. If they did, they’d be out of excuses for why they’re failures. These Senate potentials would run if the party told them to. There is a reason they are not.

Montana has an open primary so independents can vote. Hence all hands on deck to beat Bernie.

I like Bullock; there are just too many candidates running this year. He has a legitimate story to tell. You can't say the same for half of the field.
-
Really? Then maybe he should get on national TV to make a name for himself in case he decides to run for Senate next year. Now what's the best way for an up and coming Democrat in a red state to get on TV... Hmm...
-
I genuinely believe Bullock doesn't want to be in the Senate. I'm not saying I'm thrilled about that. He would make a great Senator. I'm fine with him running. He has a better rational for running than Michael Bennet, John Hickenlooper, Tim Ryan, Eric Swalwell, Seth Moulton...

Totally agree. Not only him, there is some 78 year old Senator from a small northeastern state who got blown out last time and who is already fading. I hope that old doofus steps aside and helps progressives take back the Senate.

I feel this. I have some of the same thoughts about Beto. I actually think he could win the pres nomination, but also think he could beat Cornyn in 2020. We need the Presidency and think we have 3+ candidates that could take it at this point, but we almost need the seats more.

Starting to think they don't want to win the Senate. Especially if there's a strong possibility Sanders becomes President, they need every excuse NOT to implement progressive policies. Or if anything make it as difficult as ever for anything to get done.
