I know Joe Biden was the primary architect of mass incarceration, that he fought like hell for it, and defended it for years. I know it impacted millions of people & those laws are still in effect today. But listen, Obama fucking loves this guy, and really, that's what matters.
I call it the Obama Curve. It's when you have been blessed by Obama in some way, particularly having served with him in office, your demonstrated political views & history don't actually get graded & scored on their own merit, but get scored on a favorable Obama Curve.

For some context, George HW Bush was a Rockefeller Republican, but after 8 yrs under Reagan, he got a pass as a movement conservative even though he never was one. Biden is gets that same benefit and voters are in the Janet Jackson mindset of what have you done for me lately.
And what has Sanders accomplished? I’m not exactly “pro” Biden, but he sure as hell doesn’t turn me off like Sanders does. I’d prefer it if neither one of them won the primaries.

I don't like Biden and am not supporting him, but would still vote for him over Trump if it comes to that. I expect much of the Bernie bots won't like last time and here we are. Maybe just focus on Bernie and let Biden's own awful views run its course.

My top 5: Mayor Pete, Warren, Bennet, Bullock and Ryan. My support is across gender, geography, age and ideology. I want someone with a MESSAGE, CONVICTION and shows an ability to CONNECT. THAT is what electability is. More so, than someone that adheres to a strict purity test.
