And, it's her damn cell phone. Apart from any of this, did they never get her cell phone back? I mean think of all that was on her cell phone that would have been meaningful to them, like photos and messages.

I’m curious too

They must have treated her family so horribly. I imagine that is something they would have wanted. I know from my own interactions with grieving families dealing with police in those circumstances, that is one of the first things they ask for.
-
And in a situation I am personally familiar with where a person died by suicide, once the death was officially deemed a suicide, the police immediately returned the cell phone to the family. It just smells so much like a cover up here. I don't believe that's how she died.
-
It is a cover up.

We need to demand an independent investigation of her cause of death. I don't think this was suicide....
-
It was definitely not suicide. This is sickening.

Someone needs to be accountable for the lives we’ve lost due to an unjust system.

American Palette... Mostly White women parading around in Pink pussyhats is ok, but what we really need are well-trained & well-armed, modern day Black & Brown Panthers to protect us from men & women in Blue who spill Red at the behest of those with the most Green.

I mean you know that’s why the modern hyper politicized NRA even BEGAN, right? Supporting Governor Reagan in his initiatives to get guns away from “dangerous people” like black panthers and into the hands of “responsible gun owners & NRA members”?
-
I do indeed.

Is it possible that White supremacists have infiltrated the police force to carry on their agenda in a different way? There can't be that many officers acting this way knowing what the protocol is. I never believed that she committed suicide. This has always been a cover up

That video suggests Ms. Bland was a strong, young woman, who knew her rights and just wanted to be treated fairly. I’d never believe that, after just three days of being detained, she would’ve wanted to take her own life. I can almost imagine her wanting to sue them all.

No matter how many times I view this video, knowing the end results makes me angry and sad. Give her a ticket and let her keep going... but arrest and then kill her? I. Can. Not!

The dashcam video that was originally released was bad enough, this is just sickening. Clearly a lot of people who are viewing this are disturbed by it, the question now is what can be done about it. What possible reason was there for withholding this video? Who answers for this?

I can’t even imagine how her family feels.

My heart is so heavy. Every body, police, prosecutors, every one, needs to be arrested and imprisoned for this. And murder charges brought. NOW.

Imagine her mother having to go this again but seeing it first on t.v. Where is the compassion for her?

Is there a penalty for the state's not providing this video on discovery during the Bland family's original lawsuit?
-
The Bland family’s getting to file a new suit isn’t punishment. The attorneys for the defense need to be disbarred.
