He's gonna keep yelling at everyone and doing nothing. Even tho he's been in a position to do something for 30+ years

It's kind of hard to pass anything when the politicians you work with think your ideas are too radical

But he did pass lots of stuff, he was one of the most productive members of the house earning the title "Amendment King" and as a senator got 12 billion into the ACA for community health centers. Last year he got 350k workers a raise. We shouldn't concede this premise to donuts

Pelosi says she’s progressive. Clinton says she’s a progressive who “gets things done”. I think Feinstein even said she was progressive. These people have appropriated the word “progressive” via think tanks like Neeras CAP, but none of them are progressive. They are centralists.

And the reason they are trying to appropriate the progressive term is because the public has moved to what are more progressive ideologies. The public has stayed in the center (now considered progressive) and the Dems have become the new Republicans & Republicans are the new Nazi

I understand the brackets have shifted, but I argue the public has returned to left of center, particularly in terms of healthcare, wage, workers rights, racial and social justice, education, anti-war... none of these things were ever centralist ideas.

now that I think about it you maybe right. We’ve fought for workers rights before but not single payer. I think of the GND as mostly a newish policy but a lot of elements of it are farther left. And the younger Gen is def more left than any before it. So yep you’re right.

Don't get me wrong, I think Yang is a good choice, but his main thing seems to be a UBI when I think the time is now to push HARD for universal healthcare. Few people understand a UBI, and most don't even know what UBI stands for, it would be a MASSIVE battle, not just 4 years.
