Only slightly less callous. The young people I know aren't for the most part looking to hide; they're trying to survive a world that the older generations have totally fucked up. You don't energize them by just telling them to "man up."

And it's arrogant to claim his generation "changed the world" when we're facing climate change, an expanding inequality gap, children in cages at the border, and a criminal enterprise in the White House. We older generations need to own the shit we *didn't* get done.

I feel like every time we have to explain these things to older liberals etc, we’re met with defensive and dismissive stuff like Biden in this video. But these are real problems that they kicked into motion before we could vote (and even before a lot of us were born)

As a tail end boomer, this is a thing about other boomers that pisses me off, because we dismiss younger people in *exactly* the same way that the older generation dismissed us and that we railed against.
