Agree. But there’s a way to make it happen, which is young people voting in the primary.

Kind of. They represent only a fraction of the party, but are the energy and lifeblood behind it
-
It almost feels like a better polling question right now, instead of “who will you vote for?” is “which candidate(s) would you volunteer for?”

The way that 23 and me test was handled makes me question how well she can defend against attacks but otherwise she's a great candidate

It will also be a colossal failure not to have made clear to those young people that it is ESSENTIAL THAT THEY VOTE FOR THE DEM NOMINEE NO MATTER WHO IT IS. We can’t get this wrong again. Many lives depend on getting it right.
-
The outlook of.most young people I know is "Give me a candidate worth voting for, and I will vote for them." Telling them to vote for whoever wins is not a way that effectively engages youth.
-
Inherent in my message is to work as hard as you can to make sure your candidate is the nominee, but once the nominee has been decided, staying home is a vote for Trump. That you can’t always get what you want is also an essential message. There will be 2 noms, 1 will be prez.
-
That is incorrect logic. Staying home is not a vote for Trump. Yes, it helps Trump more than the Dem candidate, but it us not a tick in the box for him, and it is that exact kind of false messaging that turns off young voters.
-
Perhaps if it were another election I would grant you your vote of conscious objection, but this election is not about dem vs repub, progressive vs conservative. It is about democracy vs dictatorship. I personally don’t want to contribute to the dictatorship
-
That's not how it's viewed by young people. What they see is oligarchs versus different oligarchs, and based on their experience, they're right. If you question why they check out, just look at what Biden said about young people. Engage them to win, they don't guilt trip.
-
Are you purposely missing the point? I’m a high school teacher; I know how young people feel; I respect them; I feel the same way. I also know how things work, and there IS such a thing as the better choice out of two bad choices. WTF?
-
There is a massive difference between how anyone engages in their personal decisions versus existential decisions, such as national level politics, but what do I know, I just work with my local and regional Democratic party on platform and voter engagement.

It is your duty NOT to taint their minds to lose hope that if their candidate is not selected be confident that another Democrat can wear the same shoes...just in a different size. So STOP slamming other candidates, please.
