Goodness Shaun. I think we all agree that the policy stances Biden has held in the last 10 years while the VP for Obama probably tells us a lot more about who he is now and how he would govern than something he said in the early 90s. This is so disingenuous. 1/https://twitter.com/shaunking/status/1124300911533350912 …

Thank you, Shaun! Symone was such a strong voice in 2016, but now it appears she's sold us out. She's bought.

OR she realized that Bernie just wasn't the right guy to support.

And he was a part of an administration that began to address the issue of mass incarceration. But, o.k., you let thE.crime bill define Joe Biden today and I'll let Bernie's gun votes define him as the candidate he is today.
-
Oh ,wait, Bernie is non-repentent of his gun votes and would vote the same way today.
I'll go with the candidate who can evolve on an issue AND the guy who didn't call for a primary against a sitting president who tried his best to do something about the gun issue.

Shaun, as a young professional I lived east of Capitol Hill during the worst of the crack epidemic when you were in diapers. I saw a man blungeoned to death 2 days after I moved into my house. There was a crack house across the street that kept me up all night coz...1

of all the coming &going, yelling & screaming. Sounds of gun fire was the norm. I had to grab the dog and hit the floor one night because of the rapid fire of an uzi. We’d try to push the dealers out and they’d just show up on the next block. 2

Rayful Edmonds and his filthy family drug enterprise was running the city, until he thankfully finally went to prison, so yes, we were desperate to try any new law enforcement policy to end it at that time. 3

It’s had some horrific unintended consequences, but I challenge you 30 years from now to look back over decisions and policy positions you are making today, and not wish you had done differently...perhaps even evolve! Fin.

I grew up in one of the most dangerous cities in America in the 1990s. I remember my city being under siege by drug dealers due to the crack epidemic. Black Community activists were begging the government to do something to protect our cities which lead to crime bill. 1

I feel misled. I was told in 2016 that Hillary Clinton was responsible for this crime bill.

-
I always thought it was unfair to blame the wife for the husband’s misdeeds. Meanwhile, Bernie who was an actual signer of the bill got to slip away with no accountability. Can we say sexism?

Also, I keep hearing all of these ppl for Biden, but I haven’t heard him state ANY NEW policies that he will fight for in the future. So he'll only get Congress to agree to only 1 or 2 small changes and call it a victory later.
