I think you misunderstand me. Mass incarceration is not about political convenience. Tens of millions of people have been incarcerated. Entire communities have been decimated. This is the issue of my life and what I've fought against for decades now.

We get it, you're done with the Democratic Party. But why help take Trump's opponent down for him?
-
People like Biden helped create the mess we’re in, and using the same thinking that created the mess won’t get us out of it. Biden is unfit for office and unfit for this moment as well

Now show his updated views since he’s obviously changed his position on that.
-
He's "changed his views" because it's no longer politically advantageous for him to run on throwing people in prison for decades for drug crimes.
-
He's changed his views bc we all have as a society. There was a very real concern abt an explosion in crime in the 80s and 90s that cut across our entire society and politicians of all stripes. These politicians were reacting to public concern to do something abt it. It isn't 1)
-
Conveniently- the public concerns resulted in MASS incarceration for AAs, but not for white users and sellers. The MANDATORY sentencing for crack offenders vs cocaine offenders tells us all we need to know about how much Biden and his ilk valued black communities.

I agree that there's a good amount of stuff to question and criticize biden on but pulling clips and things from 25 years ago isn't going to really accomplish much. People change. Their views change. Ppl will judge him more on the Obama years.
-
People definitely do change but he wrote a bill that resulted in the harassment of black people who’s lives have probably never recovered. The opinion of a politician should always be called out no matter how long ago it was because that opinion ruined lives/families/communities
-
This is true to a certain extent because we have to remember that people like joe aren’t in the communities that were impacted and some of OUR own should have been doing diligence to ensure joe didn’t move ahead with bills like this.
-
Pressure from our “own” is why the crime bill happened. Crack dealing, addiction, violence and gangs had entire neighbors held hostage. They dealers and gangs then fanned out across the country. Parents, pastors and community leaders supported rooting out these elements.

Shaun is doing to Biden what he did to Clinton. It's sad to see this one-sided all-out assault on one candidate.
-
don’t understand why people can’t just plug who they want without bashing the others.
-
Because it's politics... when you're playing with people's lives and livelihood you gotta expose the terrible policy's and rhetoric said. Biden can't even apologize to Anita Hill

-
It suits establishment candidates to silence dissent by saying it’ll divide the party. Knock Down The House deals with this really well - AOC was shut out at every turn. Biden’s camp will rely on people not criticising him in order for him to win the nomination
-
I just think people should pimp their own candidate without calling out anyone else. just my opinion.
-
Man this is literally what a primary is for
