I agree, and also important she was an *affluent* white woman. We have worked with scores of poor white families here in SoCal who had loved ones murdered by cops (sometimes Black or Latino cops) and they always get off. Many of them are featured here:https://youtu.be/v358Nj_-Qxw

This has some parallels to the Peter Liang case, where a Chinese American cop was initially convicted of manslaughter after shooting Akai Gurley (though of course he ultimately walked away with probation and community service). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shooting_of_Akai_Gurley …

This is probably the only time in history where the “in fear of my life” cop defense didn’t work. And where’s the outrage from the FOP?
-
Prosecution actually asked Noor if he found her “blonde hair” to be threatening.
-
Yep! They asked if he found a “pink shirt” and “blonde hair” threatening. I am so furious!! Only God knows

Same thing with the 2 Black Marshals in Louisiana. No administrative leave. Straight to jail and had to post bond. The victim was a white child. Father ran. The Marshal's got what they deserved. Only wish it was like that for white officers who kill people of color.

I agree whole heartedly. But now let’s see what happens in the case here in Texas where office Amber Guyer shot Botham Jean after she walked into his apartment by mistake. Let’s see if Mr Jean gets the same justice.
-
Sadly he probably won't

Could not agree more. He should go to jail. Period. KillIng an innocent person for no reason is wrong no matter the color. But this needs to be blasted all over for the black sellout cops who think they’re above the law. You are not them

Want to say “Just shake your fist at the sky and scream!” but that’s bullshit. Do it if it makes you feel better (in a place where no one can hear it, y’know, so you don’t get arrested for being a “threat”) just keep doing what you’re doing, Shaun. Keep fighting the good fight.

It’s tough because it every situation deserves justice if it’s wrongful. But when you see such blatant racial advantage/disadvantage in these situations, you have to stop from yourself from feeling he should get off because of how unequal it all is.

Officers in the USA seem to be in a constant state of fear when out on patrol. Is that down to how they are trained and a perception they are imbued with or based on genuine experiences they each have? Also, why on earth do they not seem to use tasers at close quarters?
