Let me put my political philosophy for presidential campaigns on the table. If you say you believe something today, but don't have a clear demonstrated history of fighting for that thing before the campaign, and are between 40-80 years old, I just don't believe you.
So when @ewarren says she cares about income inequality and gives a speech on it and unveils sweeping policies to address income inequality...
GUESS WHAT?
I believe her.
Because she's been fighting for this for decades.
She'll fight for it win or lose.
It's who she is.
When @CoryBooker comes out and says he wants to decriminalize marijuana and make sweeping criminal justice reforms central to his campaign....

I believe him.
He knows those issues and has proposed courageous legislation on them.
He'll fight for that win or lose.
When @BernieSanders speaks out against racism, income inequality, worker's rights, housing accessibility and affordability, criminal justice reform, the environment, etc.

The man fights for those things AS A HOBBY - it's his life's work.
The funny thing is centrists get triggered when Bernie talks about his previous work like during the Civil Rights Era. He’s not allowed to talk about the actions that back up his words “wE aLReaDy kNoW bERniE!” Instead he’s supposed to only let his words do the talking.
Like getting booed for having been fighting for civil rights all the way back to Rev Dr King. Exactly.

That’s why I am about people like @AOC and @PeteButtigieg people who are from our generation or closer to our generation to tackle on progressive politics and foreign policy. I don’t think Bernie or Biden have a chance or Warren a candidate I like so much.
Pete’s plan of having color swatches in place of a real policy page is pretty progressive in a sense, I guess.

Disagree. There are roads to redemption. For everyone. Criminals, business people, politicians. Everyone has a chance to change and be judged on what they are doing now versus 25 years ago. I would have assumed you would be on board with that. Sometimes the “bern” distorts
You misunderstand. Progressives fully understand that people change. But let's vote for the people who were correct from the start or who changed before running for president. If someone evolves today and runs in 2028, then we'll have years of proof before voting.
Ok, then let’s talk about Sanders voting record on sanctions on Russia and his no vote on the Magintsky Act. And why the hell did he have Manafort business partner Tad Devine involved in his campaign last time round? All disqualifying based on your logic.

I was just posting this in FB -we don't have to crap on others all the time. We all want to see these policies become law in our lifetime. If there is anyone else who can do it, then I will support them. It's not necessary to drag everyone down to win.
I wish Bernie and followers felt that way. We’d all be a lot better off. There are good ideas all around. It remains to be seen who will end up as our nominee in 2020, charged with implementing those ideas. There’s a lot of time between now and then. Let’s not waste it.
Im just unfollowing people that are into dragging others. 1 friend who I think the world of &is a supporter of Warren does at least1post a day dragging Sanders.I unfollowed.I will have a hard time not engaging w.them but do not want to hurt Warren to benefit Sanders.
