He’s trying to win, and he is one of the better candidates to have a legit chance to take back the Executive Office. Anyone complaining isn’t seeing the bigger picture.

He doesn't need that money.
-
I’ll respectfully disagree. :) President Trump said once before he’d fund his whole campaign, and after a little while on the trail he was gladly accepting money from any and everyone and now he sits in the highest office in all the lands.
-
He also said incarcerated people shouldn’t get the right to vote. That pretty much ended my interest in him.
-
I do think their should be a vote allowed for some inmates but a time limit. If you’re serving more than 5 years, it’s a hard no for me. A compromise. Take the college parents scandal, some are going to jail, but they won’t serve long, they should still be allowed to vote.
-
Take the college parents scandal lol a clear case of fair sentencing lmfao
-
Lol that’s a whole another topic.
-
It’s not a whole other topic it’s the entire fucking point, sentencing laws that disproportionately affect black people means not allowing people in prison to vote further disenfranchises an already disenfranchised group.

The whole "who are you getting your money from" game is going to backfire on Dems because they're the only ones playing it. Meanwhile, Donald Trump raised $30mil and no one's asking where it's coming from because they don't care about anything but winning.
-
Democrats combined raised 4 times that amount.
-
Yay? Just want to make sure that folks don't forget that there are lobbying groups out there that are good for Democrats (see: trial lawyers) and to not paint all lobby/PAC money with such broad strokes.
-
It’s 2019, you don’t need as much money to reach the masses, social media has made campaigning easier. The rest would go to travel, payrolls, equipment, and events. Media and travel are typically the most expensive in campaign budgets
-
I work in advertising, this is not completely true. While fractured media has led to greater efficiencies in buying, the cost of targeting has gone up. On top of that, TV still delivers when comes to eyeballs and that's not stopping anytime soon.

Actually other high-profile candidates are taking lobbyist money too, they just broke their pledge.https://theintercept.com/2019/04/17/democratic-candidates-lobbyist-donations/ …
-
All sent it back actually
-
The articles I've read did not state that Beto returned the funds from the Chevron lobbyist, has that changed?
-
I'm not sure, but it was a $250 donation and he lobbies local and state government officials in New Mexico, not federal govt. And Beto's commitment was to not take federal lobbyist money.pic.twitter.com/cF5ZLe2EcL

His lack of a voting record, lack of a platform, lack of experience isn't working for him either. Not to mention secret meetings, comparing Bernie's Base to 45's base. You have to question his motives. Reeks of inauthenticity to me! No pass, Pete!
-
I will go a step beyond this, Pepper - ALL of what you said - and this: he's dangerous. If folks REFUSE to do their homework about this young 'un, it's at their own peril. And America's.
-
Would you say he is worse than Joe or the same?
-
Interesting question.Typically I'm answering even though not asked,I'd say he's worse b/c he has more charm but given his statements & his donors, he's bound 2 promote the interests of the wealthy just like Joe,erstwhile friend of the working class. while getting less flack 4 it.
-
This deep dive convinced me that he's a charlatan of the first order...https://www.currentaffairs.org/2019/03/all-about-pete …
-
I want to read this.
-
Insightful. There will be more. Pete is truly met with "skepticism" across a wide range of circles. NOT good for America.
-
And this - “We need representatives who are all about the lives of people like Monica Diaz and Shane Boyle. Pete Buttigieg is all about Pete Buttigieg.”
