I get your meaning and I agree. The odd thing is that I've never thought of my Muslim friends as Muslim friends. Do I have to start doing that now? I guess I'll be their atheist friend? Seems odd.

You only need to do that when someone attacks that group. If you were my friend and black people are being attacked, don't just stand with me because you're my friend (I stand with all my friends while blacks are being attacked..."), stand with all who are being targeted
