Let me tell you what’s happening. Trump is transitioning into campaign mode. He has determined that attacking and demonizing a Black, immigrant, Muslim woman in a hijab is good for his base. They love this stuff. He rose to power off of these type of attacks.
Trump is responsible for Trump, but I must repeat that once conservatives saw that leading Democrats were willing to bash Ilhan Omar, they smelled blood. And have doubled down every since.
Conservatives LOVE having: A Muslim boogeyman. An immigrant boogeyman. A Black boogeyman. A woman boogeyman. And with Ilhan Omar, they have found a way to get all of this in one package. The attacks aren’t in good faith. Just bigoted and dangerous politics.

Not 1 black child teen or man wants to sell drugs or being in gang but when their mom or daddy can't get a job cuz of the color of their skin or the system design to keep strong-minded people down what other options do they have ain't like none of y'all are together and building
I personally know plenty of people who actually enjoy that life cuz they think it nets them money, power, respect, etc. Who brag about crimes they've committed. We can discuss the way they got there, but to say not one of them wants that is just categorically untrue.

The types of people I'm specifically referring to have no sense of shame or guilt about the things they did, no ambition. They didn't grow up in abject poverty, and are unrepentant, even justifying why what they did was a good thing, even when I try to help them to a better way.
People are more than just their skin color or what's between their legs. You can't lay all of a person's problems at the feet of bigotry, because there are plenty of people who find a way to do the right thing even in shitty situations.

What on earth are you talking about? There are plenty of examples of blacks who started off poor and worked hard and achieved success in spite of racism. Black poverty was actually going down prior to LBJ's introduction of the Great Society and Nixon's War on Drugs.
Two of the most famous examples that come to mind off the top of my head are Vivian Thoman and Ramanujan.

And as a former conspiracy theorist....YES, it was eerily similar to statements made by people who grossly mischaracterize Jewish people (something that inevitably drove me away from that circle); and it is only because I trust Omar's moral compass that I understood her meaning
