It's been nearly 5 fucking years since Eric Garner was murdered IN BROAD DAYLIGHT here in New York City.
It's absolutely indefensible that the @NYCMayor has refused to lead with any courage or conviction on this case as the NYPD now claims they didn't even choke Eric. OUTRAGEOUS
In my last conversation with @es_snipes before she passed away, she told me how personally hurt she was by how @NYCMayor expressed so much support for her family at her father's funeral and in front of cameras the months after he was killed.
THEN DISAPPEARED. She believed you.
The NYC Police say that he didn’t die because of the outlawed chock hold but because he had asthma. How many more times was he suppose to say he couldn’t breathe? He says it 11 times. But did the police call an ambulance at that time? No! They killed him!
Switching subjects. We had 3 churches burn down on this land within last month. No news coverage, a clip or 2 after the fact at best. Church burns in Paris, non stop news coverage.
Yet practically no media coverage of the yellow vest protests in France either.
Unfortunately, most politicians need to feel some constant pressure from the people. Too often they rely on people forgetting to avoid taking bold actions / pushing for real change--even when its the right thing to do.
