So many layers of injustice. A sad reflection of the callousness faced by those of our neighbors who struggle with suicidal thoughts
I year ago today the police showed up at my house for a wellness check.... When I say showed up I mean "burst into my house at 2AM with no warning, pointing a half dozen loaded, laser guided AR15s in my face, screaming unintelligible commands." There was more outside.
The team outside was rounding the corner with a battering rams. They were visibly disappointed not to use it. Then I was cuffed, for no reason, take to the hospital in the back of the car. There was a fire station with an ambulance insight, but no. Squad car.
Then once I was at the hospital and feeling vaguely safe from the police, I challenged one on how ethical it was to point a AR15 in my face and he said "I didn't point at your face. I had it pointed at your heart." Btw, everybody on the scene was in SWAT equip. WELLNESS CHECK.
It still feels unreal and shakes me to think about.

Holy shit. This is too much to take. What is wrong with people !!??? Why are they so damaged and fucking broken !!?? My heart breaks for this young man, this is so awful.
