In an interview w/ @esquire - Mayor @PeteButtigieg had some very gentle critiques of what went wrong w/ Hillary's campaign strategy in 2016 and some people are LOSING IT.
That can't be the standard.
She lost.
Trump won 30 states to her 20 and won the electoral college by 77.
Candidates for 2020 have to be able to thoughtfully look back at 2016 and say, "You know what, in retrospect, (FILL IN THE BLANK) could've been done better or different - and here's how I'm going to do that" without getting slammed by former campaign staffers for Hillary.
You know...I'm really not up for hearing anybody chide the Hillary campaign without a clear and loud discussion of the voter suppression and Russian interference that helped Trump steal the election. Hard to win with a fist on the scales.
Reflective and nuanced thinking is not the sole handicap of some former Clinton supporters. I got plenty of Bernie supporters in my mentions who can't seem to reckon with certain aspects of reality either.

Hillary shills are some of the most unjustly outraged people online. Eyes full of tears three years on, when if only their candidate had headed a few states she believed she was entitled to, we could have avoided this mess entirely.
Remember, there were large numbers of HRC supporters that voted for McCain/Palin in 2008 instead of Obama, claiming sexism & that "it was owed to her" as their reasons for doing so. It didn't matter because Obama won by such a huge amount it never became an issue. 1/2
The Dems will fair better when they stop taking the Black vote for granted. They spend millions on tv ads when they could be hiring normally uninterested folks to work their campaign. 2016 should hv been a lesson on many levels.
The amount of whataboutism in this thread "BUT Sanders Supporters!" I literally have yet to see an actual Sanders supporters being anywhere near as reactionary and dismissive as HRC and her staffers were/are in 2 campaigns.
Biden was talked out of a 2016 run, for the sake of HRC, who lost key states, (by not visiting them), to one of the 2 most disliked pres. cand. of all time, (her being the other). The margin of loss was slim, to a xenophobic hateful & moronic asshole. They've learned nothing. 2/2

It's fascinating to me how sensitive people are to critique. I went to design school and have been a design professional for 20 years. We thrive on critique. Everything could always have been done better.
Wait. Are you expecting folks to be introspective now??? We've had the chance to reflect and recalibrate for a couple of years and have chosen instead to double down on useless excuses and distractions. That being said, keep doing your thing. Maybe some folks will listen.
I think mayor Pete is brilliant and has an incredibly nuanced perspective on almost everything. Are we knocking him because people are really turning onto him in a big way?
