We don't need any "solutions". These schools should and do accept the most talented kids based on their ability only. My kids are not smart enough to go there. But some kids are.

Unfortunately, the specialized HS admissions tests, like other standardized tests, test preparedness, which is a stronger predictor of socioeconomic status, more than “ability.” So yes, we do need solutions.
