All of this fertile land in South Africa is stolen property. It was first brutally snatched from Black South Africans. Then shady 50 year land deals were signed during Apartheid. All of it must end. And the land returned to the people.https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/09/world/africa/stellenbosch-south-africa.html …

*fabled wine country* - you do realise that the first vines were planted not long after van Riebeeck's arrival in 1652 - and that the first Bantu were encountered 1500km away at the Fish River a 150 years later. I can't wait for when America is deemed "stolen" by the Commies.

This statement is bias and does not take in consideration the interesting yet complex history of South Africa, the history of the Bantu, the Khoisan, the Dutch, the Boers, the British etc. The purpose of this misinformed statement is therefore questionable.

Shaun, in your Twitter comments you let is sound as though Bantu settlers were there when white settlers came. Talk about verbal diarrhea... cute wordplay though. The article is long and boring in attempting justification of the actual thievery...

If those of us living today want to own, and be proud of, all the positive accomplishments of our ancestors, then we must be willing to own their shortcomings as well. Even more importantly, however, we must be willing to work to fix the legacy of those errors.

Maybe, a tad more concern about the land Trump is stealing from Americans under the guise of eminent domain.

And this was recent, within living memories (mostly since 1900, I think). Take their land, them call them lazy for for not working.

The truth is the settlers met the Bhutan in 1770 on the banks of the Great Fish River. 120 years after Van Riebeeck came to the Cape and 1000 km east of Cape Town.

Yet Sanders doesn't have any REAL ideas for Reparations. On The Breakfast Club he offered LOANS as a solution. All he focused on was saying no to issuing checks but no REAL alternative. I'm not GOP, I believe what I hear with my own ears and see with my own eyes. He had no ideas.
