2. It was a speech that @BernieSanders has resisted his entire life. He has kept so much of the pain of his past to himself. The speech was beautiful and honest and transparent. And hard for him. He spoke directly of the horrible impact the Holocaust had on his family.

Is he still an Independent running as a Democrat and still not raising money for down ballot Democratic candidates? Checking for the update.
-
Thanks for the article. Sanders, after the nomination campaign, 2 weeks before the general election, lent his name to an email campaign. Yes he raised $2mil - not an insignificant amount... Unless you compare it to HRC’s $81mil
-
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/09/hillary-clinton-has-a-lot-of-money/498467/ … “What may be most significant about Clinton’s total, however, is not the $62 million she raised for her own campaign but the $81 million she took in for the Democratic National Committee and state parties.”
-
Money is good but he also campaigned in the mid-tersm for other Democrats including "more moderate Democrats who do not agree with Sanders on all policy prescriptions."https://www.google.com/amp/s/abcnews.go.com/amp/Politics/bernie-sanders-ramps-campaigning-democrats-backs-candidates-support/story%3fid=58374855 …

I insist that he is not interested in reparations when he himself is the beneficiary of reparations, don’t try to paint this any other way Shaun. Please and thank you.

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/3/1/18246394/bernie-sanders-reparations-slavery-2020-harris-booker-warren … The things is, the only reason he's "against" reparations and some of the other Democratic candidates are "for" it is because he's the only one who is being honest about his proposal. Read this article by Vox.

Harris, Booker, Warren. All of them have said they are for "reparations" in some form. But what does that really mean? None of the policies they cite as working towards reparations are literally just targeted cash payments given out to the descendants of slaves.
-
"Harris, for example, has told the news outlet the Grio that she sees the LIFT Act, a bill she proposed that would offer middle-class families a massive expansion of the earned income tax credit, as legislation that would 'uplift 60 percent of black families in poverty.'"
-
“When you look at the reality of who will benefit from certain policies ... it will directly benefit black children, black families and black homeowners because the disparities are so significant,” she said. How is that any different from Bernie's policies to help the poor?

I believe you. But can he WIN? Because that’s ALL that matters right now until we get our country back. And, I don’t think so.
-
Ok - he’s just a divisive figure, as Hillary was. People either love him or hate him. Personally I don’t think we can afford that - BUT I’ll vote for WHOEVER gets the Dem nomination.
-
I won’t. Part of the reason it must be Bernie is because the democratic party must be remade. If the party isn’t embracing Bernie as the path forward, I help change the makeup of the party the best, quickest way I have, by voting against incumbent dems all at every level
-
Same here. I equate changing the party to a chemical reaction. Add water to a glass of water and we get more water. No more GOP lite. I want to fix things; not have more of the same. Incrementalism does not work. The philosophy of “No, We Can’t” isn’t in my playbook.

When he said “no one cares” about the emails I thought he was of unique integrity But when his polls went up he went after them as bad as trump, and the lectures, too... even though he knew what he was saying was a lie He was knowingly, willingly lying to hurt Hillary
-
He never once went after her for the email issue. Not once.

Then I would encourage you to focus on what your candidate is doing instead of continually highlighting negative news with other Democratic candidates. You have blind spots with your Sanders support and it erodes support for you and your endeavors.
