11. Yesterday Bernie spoke of race, racism, & at least 11 connected issues tied to both. I know because I helped review and edit the speech. For those in attendance, and those who don’t have open animosity toward Bernie, it was great. People who loathe him, loathed the speech.

Sorry Shaun but it doesn't change my opinion of him....he attacked @HillaryClinton and @TheDemocrats (WHICH HE IS NOT) in a speech just a couple of days ago and in the end he will need those voters to win and he won't get them !

I'm just one of the vast majority who has an opinion on Bernie and can't speak for all the others but I can promise you he won't get my vote. I don't think he can win the nomination but we will wait and see !
You would honestly do what Clinton’s supporters warned about in 2016 and not support the nominee? It would be 100% Bernie’s responsibility to sway your vote, but we all have a responsibility to weigh the issues and respect our shared values. We agree on so much more than not.
You're absolutely Right that it is on Bernie to sway my vote BUT when I have someone tell me "it will be Bernie or a Revolution you decide" I can promise you a comment like that reassures my position.....that comment sounds like Trumper's calling for a Civil War !

I still don’t see who said that. Can you link to it? Even so, it’s obviously hyperbole. If we’re judging Sanders or other candidates, let it be on their own words and records. EVERY candidate in this primary has problematic votes or statements. If they’ve grown, I’m listening.
You can say anything in a speech.. why does he run as a Democrat when he isn’t one?? What about his taxes for the past 10 years.. you know the ones his wife can’t find !
Listen, I understand where you’re coming from but this is a needless attack for which there are perfectly reasonable answers. I support Bernie but I’m also full prepared to back ANY Democratic nominee, just as I did in 2016. Stop assuming the worst of peers who share your values.
Sanders whiteflighted to VT & did nothing for anyone - not even vote - until he was 40 & voting for himself. He voted for the Crime Bill, voted against gun control laws, calls women's rights distractions & the southern black vote "distorting." & he should've had his taxes ready.
Always good to know when journalists write a politicians speeches, then report on the speech as a journalist.
